    Help needed identifying pocket/fob watch

Hello all, first of all as a newbie on this forum and this being my first post I would like to say hello to all.

If it is at all possible I would like to find out some background on a pocket / fob watch, the said watch was given to me by a dear friend who is now 91 years old ( she has previously given me an omega seamaster watch as well circa 1950s ) the lady in question worked as a jeweler in a strand jewelers in london in the 50s / 60s. ( both of these watches are of great sentimental value to me ) so I would like to find out some information about the pocket/fob watch, for instance age, maker and where it was made etc. I have worked out that it is 15 carat gold so is probably pre 1932 ( i think ) any way some macro pictures below.. Thanks for looking, Steve.

    Hi and welcome

English patent #6577 from 1905 was granted to J.F. Kendal & F Goering on March 28, 1905. It is for a dust cap which appears to be reinforced and attaches to a ring around the movement. It allows the case to have a thinner back cover that is given support by the inner dust cap.

    Here is the patent:

Imported case dated 1912/13. Odd that it would have an English patent.
