    Help please, Delano wrist watch

Hello to everyone, so pleased I found this forum.

Sorry if its a bit cheeky but I am looking for help to identify and find out more about this watch.

    Its a Delano.

Writing in several places throughout the watch.

    Face DELANO & SWISS.
Back FOND ACIER INOXYDABLE 2 101
    Strap ROLLED GOLD
    Inside strap STAINLESS MONTAL STEEL.
    Top of strap HK.

I have not taken the back off the watch as it seems to be working and I dont want to muck about with it.

The watch has a very small face, 1/4 inch by 1/2 inch and is in a Deco style case slim looking.

Not sure how old it is although I know its not modern.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer me.:thanks

Based on the description I assume it is a vintage wrist watch. That's why I moved your inquiry to the more suitbale forum. Pls. post pics of dial, back and movement.

It doesnt look to me like Deco watch, but on the other hand there is no shock protection. Its very small and tiny watch,so photos should be a bit lighter and sharper.

The watch style and the fact that it is "Rolled Gold" makes me think it is from the 1940s to 1960s (likely 1950s)

Not a brand I know - but it was a proper Swiss company:

    and is listed here:

as a wholly owned subsidiary of LVMH.

Thank you very much for your help so far.

Given the info, in your opinions, is this watch worth holding onto/looking after, or is it a run of the mill type watch?

    Sorry for my ignorance.

I have had it stuffed in a box on top of a wardrobe for about seven years. It was my Mother in Laws, we were very close and its only now after all these years that I am able to look through her things without feeling I'm being nosey.
There are other watches including a 9ct gold accurist working watch.

Once again thank you, all information is appriciated.

The company was probably one of the many no-name brands that bought generic calibres, ordered some dials with their names on it, got the cases, crystals and hands to go with it and assembled the lot to sell it. The movement is a high quality generic FHF (Fabrique d'Horlogerie Fontainemelon) Cal. 59 (or 59-21 if it has a 3Hz beat rate) which is the thinnest baguette movement ever made with the works all on one level (the famous JLC CAl. 101 uses two levels):
