    Helvetia wristwatch

I know you'll be underwhelmed, but this arrived this morning. Stainless steel case.

    Its a 1950's Helvetia - with their own movement - an 82C.

Interestingly, its marked as 15 jewels - not with the 17 jewels as per the example in the Ranfft archives.

    Different bridge layout

    Different shock protection

    Different jewel count

    Both clearly marked 82C

You should send that photo to Dr Ranfft to add to his archive

I actually have the same movement in one of my watches. But the dial on my watch feels a bit different, don't you think?

Indeed so . Or should it be ?

I see the case is marked Wakmann. Interesting.

Goodness me! - a blind person's watch! My uncle had one of those - and he was blind from childhood. He was also a double mathematics professor (headed the chair of two faculties, I believe). A truly remarkable man.....

Very nice Helvetia Marrick, and interesting caliber.

I´m on the track of a Helvetia chrono by the way
