    "Herald" watch co info?

    So I went looking for a trench watch about a year ago because I wanted an example of the style, and ended up with this 1923 import marked watch with a 15j swiss movement signed "Herald". I did some cursory research into the maker at the time but found nothing beyond a few other examples of pocket and wrist watch movements that seemed roughly contemporary. Has anyone heard of the make or know any of the history behind it?

    Did you check on www.mikrolisk.de? He has eight entries for the brand name 'Herald'.

    For the serious brand researcher Mikrolisk should always be the first stop.

    Interesting, bookmarked! If my understanding of the reference is correct, it seems that the movement was likely made by either Longines or Wittnauer based on the import date of the watch and the register date of the herald trademarks. Would make sense as I have seen a few Longines examples contemporary to mine with very similar cases.
