Hey Kontiki lovers, look what I found!

I love vintage Eterna Kontiki divers and I already own a very nice Kontiki first series from 1958 and a Super Kontiki from mid 60s, and today thanks to a friend watchmaker I found the other one I was looking for, an early 70s Kontiki Super. These are hard to find in very good conditions, but still harder to find them NOS like the one I got, complete with its original bracelet. It's not an IDF-issued but I love it as well. A few pics for your review, sorry for the quality, they were taken a bit in a hurry. Enjoy!

Looks nice but the hands look very weird - they don't really go together. Nevertheless, the watch is entirely original - there is an identical watch in Brunner/Pfeiffer-Belli. The caption states "Eterna 'Kon-Tiki Super', 200m, automatic, 1970s, 11.5''' lever movement 2824-2". So it is already one of the Eternas using an ETA movement by the sound of it.

    Hi dr.raul,

Thanks for showing. Condition is excellent. The lume on the triangle at 12 seems to have aged or is that how it was applied?
I occasionally look for these but I'm never able to see one at a price I'd like to get and more often they are the dress style Knotiki's which don't really do it for me. Be great to see a photo of all 3 of your Kontiki's together.

    Regards,

Like Hartmut says, hands are weird. Minute & hour are not a pair. Crown is original even it does not have a logo, late 70's KonTiki's did not have one.

Maybe I am blind, but I frankly don't see what's weird in the hands, I don't see differences from hands in these (apart from some discoloration with ageing):

I am pretty sure the watch is completely original as it never touched a wrist before mine and there was no reason to replace anything

What Hartmut meant is that these are original hands just a weird combo :)
Not the only watch with such a combo
Here is one example of totally original Omega
