How do I open this mickey watch

I've wanted to pick up one of these 70's mickey for a while. Finally got this one on the bay for about $10. There is no groove in the caseback and with the crystal being soo high, was wondering if this was actually a top loader with a split stem?? Any help would be appreciated.

Well the picture makes the caseback look bad. These have some sort of vertical line grain on the caseback. I've seen many of them that look like this.

I have one that looks identical or at least very similar and it pries open at the groove in the middle. Mine actually opens fairly easily. Everything will fall out when you open it so be prepared.

I have a similar Bradley Donald Duck watch of the same era - the caseback looks the same and it prises off, (can't really call it a snapback

Well I opened her up looks ok. It does run but slowly and stops intermittently. I presume its a little dirty inside. So I have another question. This thing only has one jewel, looks to be a shock for the balance. Would it hurt to just sonic clean this thing. Cant see how it could damage the movement.

Take it apart first, you can then also oil the pivots.
