How much do you think this Breitling worth?

I'm brand new to collecting vintage watches, so any advice would be helpful.

    Thanks

Whatever the last bidder is willing to pay. I know this answer isn´t satisfying but in addition to my answer you may read the Sticky "7 Rules to Determine the Value of Your Vintage Watch" here on the Vintage Watches Forum

Breitling or not, 1050$ seems too much to me for a lever-system Langendorf calibre chrono! Despite what the seller tells us, certainly not from the seventies either - more like fifties to me (not sure whether this raises or decreases the value...)! Quite apart from the general style of the watch, I would have thought that shock-proofing on the balance wheel would have become standard by the seventies.....

Well I offered the seller $700. He said okay...

But it hasn't been serviced in 5 months and the condition of it looks a little poor...

If it's a genuine Breitling (I agree: 1950s) and in good condition, $700 seems like a decent price. Before spending a lot of money on vintage watches, you should take a fair amount of time researching the market, including eBay's "Completed" transactions, to establish reasonable values before purchasing.
