How to pronounce - Lange & Sohne ?

I've just seen a huge WW2 Navigators watch make £ 3000 on 'Flog It'.
Nothing written on the dial, but the movement was marked Lange & Sohne.
I assume that Sohne means Son in English , but how is it pronounced ?
I always thought Lange was pronounced as Lang - eh
The expert pronounced Lange as in flange ( a rim or coupling ).
It should probably be correctly pronounced something like ' banana trifle' but can our German or other friends enlighten me ?
    Thanks in advance
    Richard

You are correct. Söhne means sons in German. Sounds like the expert Englified it.

You're probably not the only one. They even have an official pronounciation guide and soundclip.

Thanks ! That's settled then. I got the hardest part Lange correct and the easy part Sohne completely wrong - it's a bit like sooner in English.
Thanks for all your lightning responses !

Click on this link, you can hear a natural German speaker how he pronounces Lange und Soehne (correct spelling with o/Umlaut = Söhne):

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISJUGhW3Vsg

The guy says: 'Herzlich willkommen bei Uhren Wellmann.de. Heute zeige ich Ihnen eine A. Lange und Soehne, Lange 1, Mondphase'
'Welcome to Uhren (watches) Wellmann (name) .de (German domain). Today I show you a A. Lange und Soehne (Lange and Sons), Lange 1, moonphase'

And here is an example how you should NOT pronounce it, like 'Lang-ay and soon', besides not using this horribly foul language of the 'beast of Brisbane'.

    OW MY EARS OW!!

I cannot tell you how much I HATE that ArchieLuxury channel. That guy is the biggest tosspot in the world. That, and he just massacred A. Lange & Sohne.

    "Langy and Zoon". Oh God.

I studied German in school, and while I don't profess to be any kind of expert, to me, it's always: "A Lang'e und Zo'hne". Or if I'm lazy, I just say it the English way. A Lang. & Son.

I pronounce it as "Ah Lang Und Zur nuh". Not sure if its entirely correct but i am guessing close enough. Anyway most of the time i usually refer to the brand as ALS because most people get confused

That's far off and no wonder people get confused. I have posted a link (repeated below and what he says, including translation, see above posting) with a natural German- (my second mother tongue) speaker, introducing a Lange und Soehne (Söhne) watch. That's it and nothing else. Like 'Mercedes' or other famous brand names, also totally 'Englished' versions are acceptable, but nothing in between.

Alright understandable. Just another question though how do you pronounce Jaeger Lecoultre?
I have heard different pronounciations for it like "yaeger Le koolt" (when i was at the AD) and "Zhay zher lecoultra" (from the JLC ad). Which one is correct?
