    Pretty sure the 175 has screws in the side edge of the movement that are used to remove the dial.

    Sorry wrong. It has the old-style screws which cut into the dial foot. The first is the one at the cut out corner of the chronograph double cock, the other is about opposite, and easily identified by some clearance between bridge and screw head.

    I have of course the advantage that I need to remove zillions of dials for my archive, and what is common for an old pocket watch, burns into my mind if noticed at a more recent design. Actually this oldfashioned dial suspension was passed though the generations up to the Valjoux 7730. The 7733 was the first of this line with modern dial screws.
