    Howard Pocket Watch

I had an opportunity to put an offer on this piece which I thought was at least fair or better so I did buy this not knowing a great deal about it other than that Howard was a high quality watch company. After some research ( Pocketwatch database offers almost nothing) most coming from Shugart I believe this to be a Model 1907 Series 0 (unmarked ) Size 16. I date it to approx 1915-16. It is from the Keystone/Howard era. The case is Keystone labeled. Seems to be in excellent shape i.e. Case is unblemished with little or no wear and all covers snap tightly shut. The Crystal is quite nice and the dial has no chips or cracks. The movement is running nicely on little winding.( I am not running it much.). Don't know about service history but I see no scratches around the screws. If any PW experts can give any details on this particular model I would be appreciative. One of my questions is size. It is seems slightly smaller than a 16s but is clearly larger than a 12 and slightly larger than a 14 and I can't find a listing of size 14 in Shugart for what I think is the model I have. Any information or comments welcome.
Total weight of piece is 115 gr.

Gorgeous watch! I found this little tidbit on the following website: RailsWest.com E Howard Watch Co.

E Howard & Co. used different size designations, N-size (1 13/16" plate diameter) was similar to 18-size (1 23/30" plate diameter) and L-size (1 11/16") similar to 16-size, making watch cases unique. Production information courtesy of the National Watch & Clock Association Library and Research Center.

Are the shield engravings on the cases common to many makes of pocket watch or specific to Howard?

I m pretty sure I've seen that engraving on many cases. And Howard only made their own cases until there were acquired by Keystone in 1903. So this is a Keystone case made for Howard movements.
