I have been busy 27' Bulova and Renown

I found these at an antiques shop for my early business trip they were 7 and 2 dollars respectfully. The Bulova is no mystery but the Renown by Oris is ....... They both appear to be complete the Bulova is dry as a burnt boot.

Amazing value for the money. I'd service the Bulova and collect it. The pin lever... well... potential parts watch to me. Or a project watch. Or, collectible to someone like Marrick who seems to have every one of every unknown brand ever made, LOL

They're cheaper - as watch origins has just proved. Anyway, I'll never know whether I've got every unknown brand - they're not listed anywhere.

Renown was used as a model name in the UK by Bravingtons. Interesting to see it as an Oris brand - which is not listed by Mikrolisk or in the usual lists.

FYI...The Bulova is a model that appeared in advertising and was named "Spartan" there was an engraved version known as the "Trojan" and later the "Conqueror". This is about 1927-1930ish. Can't quite make out the date code on the movement. The Jan 1927 patent date on the case refers to the dust cover over the movement. The hands have been changed at some point.

Very nice catch for a couple of bucks.
