Idenfication help: H. MOSER & CIE

    Hello first time poster here!

I feel kind of bad having my first post here being about identification help, but what can you do. As the title describe I have a H. MOSER & CIE watch that I found among other trinkets from my grandfather. He collected various things while traveling the world being the captain of cargo ship. Between a Seiko watch from japan dated 1968 and a sword from india from the 50s among other trinkets I also found a H. Moser and CIE watch. I have tried to get more information on the watch but I didn't find much. For me this watch has a purely sentimental value and I would really appreciate any information anyone could share. I didn't dare open it up myself so I hope these pictures will suffice.

    Thanks in advance!

Welcome to WuS, and don't worry about asking for help - that's the typical first post for members and we learn a lot from answering these questions. It looks like a nice watch. H Moser made quality watches, and the dial has an attractive and desirable "sector dial" design. However, without seeing the inside (i.e. the movement and the inside of the case-back) there is limited information we can provide. Based on the style I would tend to guess 1940s for a time-frame.

Thank you for the reply. I have the SEIKO from 68 in for service so might ask the store to open it up for me to take a picture. I doubt he knows anything about it though. I used to really dislike "small" watches but since this one is working really well and keep the exellent time I have worn it non-stop for over a week and it's growing on me.

Thank you! I find it a neat little watch which I am really starting to like despite its size. I have quite large wrists and I am one that bought a Speedmaster Man on the moon edition only to return it because it felt "small" on my wrist. Also the ticking noise it makes is intoxicating for some reason
