Identification Help Need Please - Vintage Russian Diver?

I received this as a gift and was told that it is a vintage Russian diver? Obviously looks Russian. It is an automatic. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Yes. Defintiely a Russian diver

Widely known as a Boctok (also called a Vostok due to it's english pronunciation) Amphibia.

Production of these models started in the late 1960s. Being an automatic version I'd say yours is less than 20 years old. "Made in Russia" on the dial also points to it being relatively modern (CCCP was used prior to about 1991)

Stainless steel case (the bezel is just plated) with 200m depth rating.

    My new sig -----

Over the years I've collected all sorts of movements and "project" watches ... mainly inexpensive vintage pieces.

These days I've widened my gaze to include modern pieces (including quartz with analog or analog + digital displays) but with those I'm generally looking for models in solid steel cases.

It's a current model, No. 420892, this example is likely to be an earlier export model for having English text caseback. It is also possible that the movement is marked in English too.
