The elderly father of a work colleague of mine recently passed away at a ripe old age, and my colleague has been appointed executor of the estate.
Among his posessions was the below Girard Perregaux quartz watch. Neither he nor I have any idea of its current value as part of the estate, and he needs to make sure he has sufficient insurance cover for it.
Is anyone able to a) identify the watch model, and b) provide an approximate ballpark current value? Other than light marks associated with age and use, and being in need of a jolly good polish, it seems to be in quite good condition.
For clarity, he doesn't need/want a valuation per se, as he's not looking to sell - he just wants a ballpark so he can ensure sufficient insurance coverage and/or equitable estate distribution.
