    info about Lemania watch

    Hi all,

I have a Lemania watch (17 jewels) of which I know nothing about. Can anyone tell me what caliber movement it is and what the approx. date of manufacturing is.
    Thanks

    Maarten

PS. sorry for the poor quality of the photo..

I'd guess late 1940s maybe early 1950s. It does have shock protection. Perhaps the European experts can help you further.

Lemania were best known for providing chronograph movements for Omega. Maybe someone thought is was time to return the favour - for this looks like some sort of Omega movement! Something like the Cal. 23.4SC:

About the only major difference is a slight curve on the inside of the geartrain bridge where the Omega has a straight edge. Different shockproofing or fine adjustment or things like that are just end user company specific.
