    Info about my old Doxa

    Hey guys,

I was hoping someone might be able to help me out by providing some info about my old Doxa. My friend bought it in Prague a few years back and gave it to me as a gift. The guy at the watch store told him it was a military watch used during WWII. I have my doubts about that because all the Doxa military watches that I have looked at have black faces whereas this ismore of an aged yellowed color. It appears to be chromium plated as it is scratching off. I can't find a any serial numbers on the movement although it is stamped as a Doxa. There is a number on the back of the case (see pic), but it looks like there isn't much in terms of a Doxa serial # database out on the net anyway. The face of the watch says "Anti-magnetique". I'm thinking of selling the watch (it still works), but was hoping to try and gather some directionally correct information before I do that. Any idea what it might be worth?

    Thanks for your thoughts.

If rumor holds true, then your watch is from 1945. It looks to be correct in regards to the style. We don't do valuations here. Try searching eBay for closed auctions.
