Off Topic post Info on a Pocketwatch: ? Pics added >

Hello all. I'm trying to get some info on a pocketwatch I have. Whatever you guys can add would be helpful, I know nothing about watches. What information can I give to help out? It does work, it says Berg-Arduser Co on it. There is a number too, 1974721. The case says CWC and Co, 2144020. I can take pics too if needed, what do you use like Photobucket etc? Thanks all.

    Hi Marnav,

    Yes, photobucket.com works just fine.

It could be a private label watch, so only pictures of movement will tell.

Longines made a lot of "jobber" watches of this style, and the serial number would fit for a watch made in 1907; does that date seem reasonable?

I don't know. It's been handed down in the family, I know nothing about it at all. So whatever folks can add is helpful. It runs well, but needs cleaning and probably some oil too. Is there a Longines link or something to see?

You have probably figured out that Berg-Arduser was a jewelry store in Dubuque from 1908 until the 1940'ies:
