    Interesting Olympic

Last night while I was rummaging about in the watch room I rediscovered this little gem that came in a box of watches I won at an auction. This was not what I was after so it’s been sitting a while. So this afternoon when I got home from work I thought it needed a little attention. A good cleaning inside and out along with a new strap and crystal we have this lovely Water-protected Olympic watch.

It has a movement I’m not familiar with , a Buren 481. I may be wrong but it seems that you can replace the mainspring without disassembling much of the movement.

The case also has the handy adjustable water resistant stem tube.

Apparently I won’t be adding pictures right now. Something seems wrong with the forum software.

I’ve been avoiding tapatalk but maybe this once.

    Or not , too frustrating.

Tried again , can’t add images there either. Maybe later.

If I try uploading photos there it says I am exceeding forum quota by 834.32 GB. Maybe I need to reduce image quality. Lol

Yup, I can upload from url but not my computer. Tx chasscom. And while we're waiting, here's a 1972 Olympic on Ebay now. Not mine... Cal. 620.52 handwound. 35.5mm. Serviced.

Unfortunately Junghans did not mount the Buren 481 into any of their watches.
