    Any knowledge of this one. Who made the movement, general quality, etc. Thanks

    I've had a couple of these. See:

    I'm not good at identifying movements, but I think mine both had Adolf Schild movements. They are decent quality everyday watches - but nothing special.
    The 1960's JDs tend to fetch a small premium compared to other generic brands - probably because of the apparent association with the modern JD.

    It looks like an Adolf Schild AS 1800 to me. Compare:

    The whole series includes several movements and yours could be 1800, 1802, 1940 or 1950 depending on size and beat rate. Have a look for one of those numbers under the balance wheel.

    Thanks for the help. I knew members of the board could be relied upon to come through. Mine does not have an arrow on the dial, just JD. Any meaning to this? Thanks again.
