    Jump hour movement question

    Hello people,

I was wondering if someone here can shed some light on this jump hour movement. Maker, caliber, approximate date, value . The watch itself is 18.5 x 40 mm. Does anyone have some info? Any info would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks Hartmut!
Any thoughts on if its a mens or a womens watch? Or both? I've seen 20's ads for watches targeting both sexes for the same watch. You would say 18.5mm is very small for a man but the strap suggests a man wore this watch as its XL.

    Re: Jump hour movement question

I'd say that it was a gents' watch. Those were the days when ladies still had pendant watches around their necks (and the gents mainly pocket watches) or had very small and dainty watches on their wrists. Something like a jump hour complication would have been considered too masculine at that time to give it to the ladies.....!
