Last Sunday I was at flea market and I picked up among other watches this little K.M. Siegerin. Than I googled it and could not find some conclusive info. I am almost certain that it is not fake, as I guess seller didn't know what he was selling and all stuff on the table was priced at 20 DKK (cca. 3 euros). And I could not find any traces of repainting of the dial so it is in very good state. Movement is marked 595 and I found one or two on the net almost the same, but this seller http://www.cjbalm.com/watches/watch357.htm specifies that it is Aplina 595. The movement does not look like 100% as Alpina 595 from ranfft http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&0&2uswk&AS_595
but it is also picture of the AS 340. Inner side of the back case is marked "Edelstahl" which means Stainless steel. Watch is running and keeping time very accurate for its age. I know my German is not perfect, but "Siegerin" means female winner. Was there a German Navy ship called "Siegerin"? Is there some sort of database, so I can check back case number and find out if this is real or not. I took it to the watch maker so it gets new glass. Any info about this particular model and K.M. watches in general is welcome.
I know I should have posted maybe in German watches maybe in Military watches but I am used to posting in here, I hope you do not mind:thanks
