Knowledge on Rare Dials for Hamilton Watches with 661 movement, 17 jewels?

Curious if anyone here has info on Hamilton having produced some watches with rare dials, or am I just seeing examples of dials that have been retouched with a new paint job at a later date?

    Specifically I'm looking at this

It looks somewhat similar (same size at 33mm, similar, although different, lugs, and different crown) to the k-407, which used the same movement.

But so much of the watch on top is different. I'm curious if anyone has knowledge on Hamilton producing watches with unusual dials in the 1950s or 1960s? Thanks!

I would say more like a K-504, and would have started out life looking like this:

Another example of a watch that needs a quality re-dial.

So, what would be required in this, dare I ask? I'm a real newbie here, so forgive me for that, but I'm just curious. Honestly, I kind've like the watch the way it is. But I'm interested in what could be done, if it could be restored to some sense of its original form.

If it's what you like, go for it. I don't have any experience with dial restoration, so I'll leave that to others. K-504s turn up on eBay now and then--here's one available now, although the dial is badly enough damaged to make it less desirable:

I've had two Hamilton dials redone by International Dial, and very happy with both... Dean and a K-576. Next up is a Hamilton Powell and maybe the model above as mine has a small spot around '10' that annoys me to no end.

joeabroad, is that an expansion band? (I wear mine on pink alligator courtesy of Keralan (sp?) via Ebay, but yours is much more sharp. ;)

I don't recommend buying that watch, there is nothing remaining that is worth salvaging, except perhaps the movement for parts.
