    LeGant and Chateau Watch Questions...

I have two of my grandfathers watches that are pretty beat up. I will try to get pictures up soon. but the question is are they worth having refurbished? They both are probably from the 60's/70's and are Swiss Made. The LeGant is an automatic and the Chateau is manual.

I found somewhere that the LeGant may be a Montgomery Ward item. Not sure about the other though and I am very curious as to the quality of both and the movement inside. I really like the look of both and more importantly the fact that they are my grandfathers, but don't want to spend a lot fixing them if they are junk. Thanks for any help!

They are not likely to be junk. Well worth a service if they connect you to your grandfather (unless you don't want to be connected to your grandfather). Good luck!

"The watch has to be surrounded by a history.
You need more than just a great design. You need to create an atmosphere around the product.
Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!
