    Lemania Doctors Watch

Size: 1.59 MBHi there people and forgive my first post being of the begging kind.....I have a little watch knowledge amassed over a few years but this has baffled me a little.
I have seen a few Lemania chronographs in my time but this dial is a new one on me. The 15 Pulsations markings brought me to the conclusion that it may be a 1940s doctors watch, but am I miles off? The only other dial I have seen like it's was on a similar period Omega, but again I could be wrong.
Any help identifying this would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks

You're not miles off. A movement picture could give an idea of the manufacturing period, though...

Chronographs with a pulsometer scale were indeed intended for doctors. It works like that: start the chronograph at the first pulsation, stop at the 15th, the chronograph hand will indicate the person's pulse on the scale. There were also scales for 30 pulsations (I've seen more of those, actually).

There were various brands producing watches with a scale like that- including Omega, Longines, Eterna...

Thanks ever so much, it's nice to know I wasn't too far off.....it won't wind at the moment, so will look at getting it sorted fairly soon. Think it will make a nice little understated daily beater.

It's definitely worth servicing. And cleaning, by the looks of it, though it might just be the photo quality. Daily beater? It's OK for a daily wear, good to go with a casual outfit, even a suit, just keep in mind it's in no way a "heavy duty" :)
