They're fairly cheap: https://storefront.julesborel.com:84...ust_item=KN626
Big knives ...deep cuts. Be careful.
I use this British military electrician's knife from 1962. It's been 'customised' by someone to have a really good edge. I sometimes use the 'USA' US army engineer (demolitions') pocket knife from 1940, as the strong carbon blade is good at getting into tight push on backs and has the added bonus of a bottle opener for "afters".
We have rules against knife pics here. We're giving a little latitude for task specific case openers, but if I have to delete one more Bowie knife pic I'll be shutting this thread down.
None of my knives was a bowie knife, and all were bench knives.
Seems to give the mods a fair bit of wiggle room. I like not seeing watches posted on top of newer hunting knives in some shade sepia shade like all over the internet. And a lot of people forget pictures of big knives are frowned upon outside of Europe. I can have my boss see a picture of a watch but not off a bunch of knives.Pictures of knives utilized as tools for a task specific to the thread may also be permitted
Some older pocket knives seem to blend in with the hobby though.
My dad used to collect knives and has a large collection of Bowies etc. Despite that I have never felt the urge to put my watches on top off them.
Vintage Chronographs and Divers are my thing.
