    Longines vintage watches x4

Here's my vintage Longines watches, I posted these picture to thread in Longines - section of forum before realizing here is vintage section as well.

Just wanted to show few of my watches, bought first one of these in January, I like very much the era and the brand, so I had to get couple more right away. I personally think Longines is great to collect: prizes seem to stay lower than some other brands, quality of watches is very good and rather easy to find.

Flagship 1959 cal. 30L sub second, gold plated

    Lovely watches, well bought.

Vintage collectors rate this brand highly, and for very good reasons...elegant and good quality.

Thanks. Even with good reputation of the brand, it feels that Longines prizes are low (at least where I come from): these all four cost me as much as I got when I sold two hand-winding stainless steel Seamasters from early 60's. With these I have more variety for different occasions and the automatic Conquest is especially fantastic with the movement on perfect condition.

    Hi!

Congrats, a very nice little Longines collection! Longines, as some others, IMHO still belong to the underestimated brands in compare to Omega, IWC etc. - nice, if you want to buy them.
    Best regards, Mike

I am a vintage fountain pen guy. I just picked up this Longines Chronograph. Watch keeps time but I don't know how to test the chrono functions. So not sure if they work. The crystal is badly scratched. Their is some paint loss to the bezel. Case back has had inscription removed. Movement is marked Longines Swiss-17 Jewels-Movement number 530 ?? Movement is spotless and purrs like a cat.
I was thinking about getting it restored.Should I restore it or sell it as is.I just don't know if it's worth investing the money into getting it fixed. Any help would be appreciated.
