Picture Looking for info on this "Corrado OTC"

It was given to me as a gift around 20 years ago, it's all gold, Swiss Quartz, and it say's "Corrado OTC" on the face. I would love to get more info on this watch, if possible, I'm having a hard time finding anything.
    Thanks all!

Re: Looking for info on this "Corrado OTC"

Sorry, never heard of it. Three possibilities occur to me:

    1) A short lived brand with no online records showing up (there are a lot of those)
    2) A private label for a jewelry store or department store
    3) Some connection with the VW Corrado car

Perhaps someone else will recognise the brand.

Please don't PM me to ask for a valuation - I won't attempt one.

A movement pic would be quite useful. Yes, even quartz movements vary

Dating is not a problem here but it would tell us a great deal about the origin and intended markets.

Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?

The back is completly smooth and a real bear to get off, even for the pros.

Re: Looking for info on this "Corrado OTC"

We don't discuss values here as described in the stickies posts on top of the main page of this forum. However this watch has the most value for you, as it was a gift to you 20 years ago. Selling it is not an option I would say, it is much more valuable for you as a personal posession than it would be as a sales object. Marrick mentioned the VW Corrado car of the 1980'ies (which it is probably not connected to), the only taker I could think of would be the owner of such a semi-classic car. I thought of this as I have just taken ownership of the Corrado's successor, the new Scirocco...
