Looking for info -- Jules Jurgensen

A friend asked me to see if I could find any information about a Jules Jurgensen watch that was given to his great-grandfather as a retirement gift.

It appears to me to be from the 40s or 50s, but I'm just guessing. The caseback and outer box say that it is 14k gold. It's a two hand watch with a date complication.

    End panel of box:

The watch is on a hideous Speidel Twisto-flex band, but the layout of the presentation box says that it was originally on leather.

Any information will be gratefully accepted and passed along. Thanks.

A good Swiss contract watch for the Jurgensen brand name owner distributor. Valued like any 14k common Swiss w.w. The box is a really nice asset.
Some people like the old bands. Nice leather is generally preferred, but a nice condition Spiedel is appropriately representative on this vintage. Because of the box I would reserve it at $300+. This opinion not from a dealer merely a long time observer.
