Looking for more info on this "Corvair Compass Chronometer"

I've got this watch incoming from Belarus in the next week or two... I searched all the forums, and all over the internet. I found only ONE other instance of this watch on google (another classified ad, not the same watch). Aside from that i've found absolutely nothing.

I'm just looking to get an idea of who made it, what movement is in it, etc. I love the patina, and the dial is in excellent condition. Pictures and video to be attached:

What movement? I'm afraid there's no way to know that, unless you open it up.

Two Corvair trademarks listed in Mikrolisk- one to Langendorf, so this one's out. The other one to a Newtec of Antwerp, Belgium- never heard of Newtec before.

Looks like a basic Spaceline Quartz movement... probably doesn't shed much light on it.

As it turns out the watch is pretty cool - seems like it was well built, good weight, crystal must be sapphire or new because theres not a mark on it, but the bezel or case has plenty. I built a home-made strap and love it. It doesn't give off that "im a cheap watch trying to pretend to be an expensive watch" feel... instead its more like "im different, functional, and been around the block a few times. I wasn't expensive, but i'm still here." lol

    (if watches had personalities)

Looks like i should brush up on the Spaceline movements - the Date wheel has a scratch or light spot thought about half the numbers on the beginning of the month.
