    Fools!

If thy put it out on eBay they would get twice as much money...

Sure it's a nice watch but has it ever been used? And I wonder how much Patek would take for a service? Somehow I doubt $100 will be enough.

I'd say there's about a 90% chance of Patek buying it.

If anyone is interested in learning more about Graves and his fondness for Observatory watches, your are welcome to check my article from the NAWCC site: A Very "Graves" Affair - Blogs - National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors Message Board. My posts was motivated by the book, "A Grand Complication" by Stacy Perman (2013, Atria Books) which provides a wealth of detail on the Supercomplication - heartily recommended reading.

If the other similar pieces on display at Patek Philippes Museum are anything to go by, they do not have it running.
Strangely most Museums do not run watches.
Metal of course wears and these pieces are unique.

Well if you want the job of winding about 2000 watches each day, as few run for more than 24 - 36 hours.
    Its just not practical.
