    Lovely Girard Perregaux

Love this watch. Not a big fan of gold plated watches, but I love this one and I take it out from time to time.

Sorry but we have seen threads like this before and soon another "1" poster will arrive and tell us it's a unique one of a kind worth $1,000,000.

If not then I'm even more sorry but please show us some nice close ups. One more reason I'm skeptic is that Girard Perregaux seldom put the jewel count on the dial.

It is not for sale. It is just something I bought few years ago. I just genuinely love watches and wanted to share this bad boy with the enthusiasts. I am not the expert by any means. I am not awfully familiar with the different type of movements. I love the way the look and I am very happy that it is precise.
It was serviced by a watchmaker in NY. For some reason when I tried to post additional pics it stated there was an error.

I will upload more pictures from home terrible reception.

I would be interested in seeing more photos of your piece. I have a similar piece.

I am no GP expert by any means but I do have 2 and my gut feeling is just telling me this one here is 'wrong'. Best way is to look at the movement. Here is a pic of mine. I am 99.9% sure this is original.

    Sub-second hand replaced?

Unfortunately, I don't have the photo of the movement. I have it somewhere, it was on my old phone. I will definitely post it, if I will find it. But the watch was checked with the watchmaker on 47st who is doing a lot of vintage watches
He said it was great, and he is not usually that complimentary. I didn't change the subsecond hand, i bought it like that.

Looks like a "Mumbai Special". Watch case and movement are genuine. However, the movement looks to be moisture damaged and the dial has been refinished to a color the GP never used.

There's a lot of rust in there which will not be easy to remove when you are ready for a real service.

The movement is not from the watch on the pics

The OP's watch (slava) definitely has a replacement subseconds hand - or it is damaged - since it is too short for the subdial. And a decent maker like GP would never have let that design gaffe slip through the QC check.....
