    Lyceum Bumper

Yep, picked up another bumper! This time it is a Lyceum (30mm in diameter). I am not familiar with that brand but I have this same movement in a few other watches. Here is the before pic:

and after I cleaned the movement:

    and the finished product!

The lugs are 15mm wide, and the holes are close to the case (not enough room for most bands to fit), so I needed to be creative in finding a band for this. Took around an hour or more, but I finally used a band from a small (ladies?) Timex Ironman. It actually worked pretty good. Been wearing it and really like it. The hands are silver colored and had lume in them, but it was badly discolored so I removed it all. I ran out of lume so I will wear it like this until I get more (since my original post I painted the hands white).

A genuine resurrection! Nice job. What is the movement? I assume you just replaced the crystal... how is it running?

"The watch has to be surrounded by a history.
You need more than just a great design. You need to create an atmosphere around the product.
Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!

I replaced the crystal and buffed up the all stainless steel case. Then I cleaned the movement. Today I decided to paint the hands white.. really looks cool! So far it is running great, keeping time. Oh yeah, I decided to black out the word "Timex" on the band. :)
