    Marvin Autodate Watch

    Name: IMG_8541.JPG

Size: 1.62 MBHi there. Can anyone let me know roughly what age this watch is? It's a Marvin with the word 'Autodate' written under the centre of the face (which the Flying Dutchman series also has). My father was a watchmaker and he left a number of watches to the family. He died 10 years ago and I am only now starting to get more interested in his work. Many thanks

    Welcome to WUS.
The style looks like early 1950's however the bracelet is probably a later addition. The dial looks worse than it is under that scratched crystal. Polishing the crystal will improve it's appearance a lot.

Like John MS said mid 50's, probably powered by an ETA or an AS movement
