Medana 7 jewel with MST 374

One of my brands is the very affordable (usually) Medana - which was the sister brand to Roamer. This one cost me £2.96 ($4.50). Its working fine.

    Admire the lugs.

One of the nice things about MST movements (by Meyer and Studeli) is that the calibre is usually clearly shown.

Christoph Lorenz has the 15 jewel version here:

which he describes as "can be considered as one of the best made and most beautiful pin lever movements."

Its a tad small at 29mm, and the dial is a bit scratched, but I'm not moaning for the price which included a new strap.

That's not half bad for £2.96

Just shows that they don't have to be expensive to be enjoyed!!

Thank you. Yes, I think that sometimes the discussions in here about Omega, Longines, Hamilton, Zenith etc can give people the impression that the only vintage watches worth having are expensive. There are lots of nice cheap watches about that few people are interested in and can be picked up for very little. Of course, they are not worth having repaired (economically) should they have or develop faults, but are nice in their own way.
