I would like to know if anyone can provide me with any identification on this watch. Obviously, it's a Minerva chronograph, about 35mm diameter, depending on where one measures these things. The number inside the back is 703356, and there is also the number 1327 impressed on the outside of the back. I do have a band from it, two-piece stainless steel mesh with a push-through clamp clasp.
I found one very similar on a Christie's auction page, which was identified as from 1955, but no model name or number given. It sold for $1300.
This watch is in need of some major internal repair (missing balance wheel plus ?), so I just want to see if it's worth enough to warrant getting it fixed.
