    Minerva Chronograph Caliber?

Here I have what I believe to be an Early 1950's Minerva 2 button & 2 register 17 Jewel Chronograph. I've searched and searched and have not been able to find out this particular Caliber or Maker. Any Help would be Great! Please see the attached photos. I'll be needing a balance for it.

Hello, Thank you all for your time, I did find the Caliber to be a Valjoux 69.

    Hi Bill,

    Welcome to watchuseek.

Though I am no expert, I think that movement resembles a Valjoux 23. However,
the Valjoux 23 is 13''', and you are showing a wide movement spacer. What size
is the movement? With a little searching I see a reported Valjoux 69 which is 10.5'''.
My best guess is Valjoux 69. I guess you may want a check out a Valjoux 23 balance.
The site says, "Don't copy any photos from this site." I have to honor that.
To see a photo look there. --> Valjoux 69

I think you may get better responses in the vintage forum.

    Thanks,
    rationaltime

    Re: Minerva Chronograph Caliber?

Hi! Thank you the Welcome and the information you show rationaltime! Did a bunch of research and did measure the movement at 22.80mm not counting the spacer. The 69 Valjoux was the only one that appeared to match up. I'll check the 23 again, but that one seemed to have a good bit of difference. Any help is greatly appreciated. Do you recommend that I post the photos to the vintage watch forum?
    Blessed Regards, Bill

It should be a Valjoux 69- the balance cock is not correct for a 23.

    Hello again rationaltime,

My first measurement was a little off, the movement alone without counting the spacer is about 23mm

    Hello mkws,

Yes, I think so to and it measured out at 23mm which I think is more closer to a 10 1/2 size, but I cannot find my swiss gauge. Thank you kindly for dropping in on this Rookie ( that would be me of course ).

    Re: Minerva Chronograph Caliber?

Hi, I'd want to keep it original, I do need the balance complete as in balance wheel, hairspring, roller table, and staff together. Thank you though.
