    Misterious Watch. Help Needed

Hi to all, I post this thread here because I hope it can have more visibility (if not appropriate I do apologize).

I recently purchased this Bulova produced in 1970.

What I really do not understand is what model is.
I'm unexperienced and the web-sites I read were just confusing.

Thanks, your help will be highly appreciated.

    First of all: thanks.

Secondly: why it has a Gmt bezel if there is no third hand?

    Hi and welcome.

I don't know anything about Accutrons - its a specialist collecting area - but there are regulars in here who do and who will stop by in time. In the meantime this may be of interest:

I'm not an accutron expert but it looks like an Astronaut that has been "spaceviewed".
Can't be sure from the pic, but looks like the bracelet is right for the Astronaut.

The problem with the space view is that they are quite often faked.
It is hard to tell if it is a genuine spaceview.
But the case numbers must clear this out!
    I don't have them, so I can't tell you....
    nice watch BTW!!!!

    regards,

I want to thank you all for the info as well as for the compliments.

I just purchased it because it reminded me the one that my grampa had, but I just tought it was a normal quartz...then I learned about all the troubles...

    - finding someone in Italy able to repair it;
    - having to search the web for a battery replacement (without knowing if it'll be ok).

In other words if I knew I didn't buy it.

    bye

It appears that someone took the dial out of that one to make to it look like a Spaceview. Almost looks like an Astronaut variant, but I don't see the GMT hand.
The bracelet appears to been an original bullet-style Champion, so I don't think this is a franken.

    Here is my 1968 Astronaut:

    Here is my 1964 Spaceview

Here is my 1969 218 Deepsea:

There is another recent Accutron thread on this forum. I posted many Accutron resources there.

I agree with the missing dial explanation... especially with the missing GMT hand. Regardless.... pretty cool looking watch. Wish I had it.

Don't I wish, too! Still need to dig up a dial and a hand, but these watches are quite rare.
