    18k. London 1827.
    Uncrowned leopard's head from 1823-on, crowned leopard's head 1478-1822.

    Very handsome piece, that dial is a work of art, Art.

    What more is there to add, perhaps William Mean as case maker. The other WM from that time, William Moore, was only found on forks. Yes, very nice piece indeed.

    WM William Mean was casemaker. Probably used a specialist dial maker? Also 18K? artb

    No, case makers would normally not make dials. Can't say anything about the type of gold or gold content of the dial with all the ornamentation and applications.
