    More movement help needed... !!!

Just received a 9ct gold cased J W Benson watch with a movement I can't identify. I know Bensons made their own up to WW1 but after that used movements from manufacturers such as Longines, Vertex and Cyma, but this doesn't match any of the images I can find. Stylistically the case is a double hinged case which looks as if its probably from the late 20's or 30's. Hallmarks are a bit unusual as well - still trying to work them out.

The picture is of another watch I googled which has the exact same movement in it but again unidentified.

Any help will be appreciated. It is a lovely watch and I'll try to organise pics shortly.

Here are some poor pictures of the actual watch and movement which is about 27mm which I think is 12 ligne. As you can see it is identical to the one above although it is suffering from a bit of rust.

The gold case has Glasgow inport marks and appears to be dated for 1930.

It is probably marked under the dial, or if not, the keyless works are the 'fingerprint', and can make identification possible.

I've tried to use Dr Ranffts archive and his advanced search but with little luck.

Also can anyone tell what the additional part attached to the balance cock next to the regulator is?

I've never seen this on any other movement.
