    My $20 swamp purchase

    Hey all,
Last week I was browsing the swamp, and I saw this auction with a BIN of $20...I figured there had to be more than that in just parts. So I forked over the cash, and they arrived in the mail today. Now, the Waltham and the Illinois came in 18 size cases, and I was worried that I would receive them and they would just be skeletons or worse just the dials, but thankfully they were all complete! The Columbus is running strong, and I think I will pass at getting the Waltham or Elgin repaired, but how about the Type I Bunn Special 60 hour?? I guess it will be worth getting fixed up. Just wanted to share.Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1433185386.389503.jpg

Holy maccaroni!! 20$ for that lot - the Bunn Special must be worth more than that on its own! Definitely my favourite of the lot, although the Elgin is rather interesting with that fine adjustment too.....

    Congratulations!

I envy you americans to your wonderful pocket watch movements. Even the midgrade ones are terrible fine. A grad bunch of watches for a few bucks.

Wow...nice score. Can't quite tell whether the hairspring issue on the Bunn Special is serious or just sticking - but great deal no matter what.

I'm hoping it's just a roller jewel maybe. Glad to have an Amish repairman, they make easy work of pocket watches!
