    My 100 years old Omega

    Hey Omegas fans ,
I want to make some question because i think i have something rare in my hands .
I have en old watch from Omega and the case is from Watch Star Case Company nr:8623228 .
It is made by 14 kt (karat ) gold and has the stamp of Star Case Company and the stamp of Omega . There is a date 1914 that make me thing its 100 years old .
I have it for along time from my grandfatherbut just some days i saw that then i google it and i saw that that is something special in that watch beacuse its made by gold ,its Omega 21 jewels and has some good stamps and dates .
What can you tell me more about this watch please ?

P.s. Im not sure if i atached photos because im using mobile phone not pc

I'm not sure if I'm reading the serial number correctly (15323545) but that would put the Omega into the mid 1950s. Still a nice watch but 60 years rather than 100 years old.

Re: My 100 years old Omega

Well 5323845 is more like 100 years old. That would be around 1916 or so. The case serial numbers don't mean anything. It's the serial number on the movement that really counts. Check it carefully with a loupe and let us know. It's really hard to see from the photos. The case and dial look to me like the 1920s.
From the photo it looked like a 1 in front of the 5 which would make it a later model.

No better to keep it on the forum. I'd say from looking at the serial number and the case, the watch is probably just after World War 1. Nice Omega.

The movement serial 5323845 would place production around 1918. The Star case is similar to styles used on US watches around the same period.

Re: My 100 years old Omega

On the matter of the case you say it's 14kt, but in having a better look at that caseback photo it looks to me like it may be a gold filled marking, not solid gold. What does it actually say there?

    Thanks.
