    My first foray

While I still have my first Timex from the early '70s, I had yet to jump into the world of vintage. Well, I jumped in with a minty Certina Waterking 275, Calibre 25-651 for about $125 USD. I might have overpaid a hair, but the pictures were gorgeous, and photos of the watch on a timing machine were posted. How badly could I have done??

For some reason, posting pics isn't working for me, but I'll try again when I get the package.

    Re: My first foray

For a good looking 275 with the finest Certina automatic, $125 is not high at all. I always go on about how cheap they are here in Sweden but now they are rather expensive here as well and Certina as a band has gone up a pinhole in status.

I love the Certina 25-651 and can sit and ogle it for hours but I'd better not, I might just wear out the Internet.

Certina may just be my personal pick for the most fantastically underrated brand by non Scandinavian non watch aficionados who wear smart watches on their right wrist on Tuesdays.
