Confused My first vintage? Baylor Day Date

Hello everyone, today I need your kind advice.

Last night, while browsing the internet, I found the ad for this Baylor. I must admit I did not know the brand and I stumbled upon this listing following some research from an InstaStory.
The point is, how much is it worth? Have you any further info on the brand story and the movement of this watch?

P.s. Is there any European buyer from eBay that may give me some tips? The watch is from USA, how do the customs work (Netherlands in my case)?

In Italy we have to add VAT and customs fee, that is a 27% approximately

    Thanks a lot Peter!

Ciao Bubba, I'm italian as well :). Btw, I thought that goods not from shops, or contracts among privates were not hit by VAT.

    Any other suggestion?

I own a couple of vintage Baylor watches, but am by no means an authority on them.

Baylor was the house brand name for watches sold by American jewelry company Zales. Reputedly a sales manager was a graduate of Baylor University in Texas and thus, the name. Many of these watches use very nice Swiss movements and the Baylor pieces I own have been serviced and run like champs, keeping excellent time.

This forum does not provide watch valuations...it is worth whatever you are willing to pay for it. You can use the Internet to search out similar watches on auction websites and see what they have brought in recent sales.

Italy here as well, I can confirm that even private sales are affected by the 27% VAT&CF. Goods are still processed at customs so there are very good chances that you will be charged with the VAT&CF. It's a bit of a gamble when you ask the seller to fill the papers with a lower value of the good to pay less VAT&CF and I totally not recomment it. At least here in Italy... it's very often useless and you might be charged with a lot more than the actual 27%.

Uh a lot of Italians here, so nice to know I am not the only one.
I indeed double checked Dutch laws and, after a custom fee of apparently 0.80 eur, the standard VAT of 21% will be applied to the watch and the shipment.

Do you think that around 150 eur all included (shipping, VAT, etc.) would be a fair price?

Consider that you will probably have to spend a similar amount for a service

The conventional wisdom about eBay auctions is that the best strategy involves sniping, waiting to bid until the last 5 seconds of the auction. Early bidding is pointless, and can encourage competition and leave you vulnerable to shill bidding.
