Alwayslate707...Hello. I suggest that you research any independent watchmakers in your area: with just a little luck (!) your Waltham should be no problem to have Serviced, and the cost will be at the 'entry level' for such pieces. Find a shop that's been in business for some time & has a good reputation...you'll be all set. Good Luck...Nice watch! Michael.

Congratulations - it's always a special thing to receive your father's or even your grandfather's watch. I suggest that you take it off the metal Speidel bracelet though - they tend to chew up the lugs a bit.

He probably looked at that watch while you were being delivered.

Personally, I wouldn't let anyone touch it, just leave it as is and pass it down.

I was thinking about doing this that braclet doesn’t fit me as my grandpa was 5’2” lean muscular while I’m 6’3” with large muscular arms 7.75/8 inch wrist is the braclet just held in by standard spring bars?

    That’s also a strong option
