The first one is popular Bulova automatic, which came around in the mid 1950s, with fancier cases in these days, so I would date that one closer to the 1960s. You would have to open the watch (if you can do that) to show the movement and then it can be pinned down somewhat more precise. There should also be a date code on the back like L plus a number (for the 1950s) or M plus a number (for the 1960s). See if there is also a date code on the second one, should be N plus a number (for the 1970s). Find details about the movement of the second one here:

First one has Bulova 10BPAC movement. It is late 1950 - early 1960 model.

Looks like the date code might be on the opposite side of the of the movement picture or if you can check it, might be on the outside of the caseback. The second one looks like M4? for 1964. As explained earlier, your date codes will probably be an "L" (1950) & "M" (1960). The number after it will depict the year.

    Nice watches

The first one is the famous Bulova 23 Jewel Automatic. These are very good watches with a good movement. There were two versions of this model. The first was a base model that was unadjusted by the factory. The other(like the one you had) was adjusted for 6 positions. Bulova was very proud of this as they went to the trouble to mark all the positions on the rotor.

The second one is most likely a mid 1960's watch

Here's the movement, courtesy of Ranfft, for your 23j Bulova.
