My new deep purple dial Timex from the 60s

130515649878 is the number on Eflay, as I dont know how to transfer images from one site to another. Very exited. I bought it purely for appearance. Ive been wanting a tasteful purple dial for years. And Timex provided it in a handsome total package. My first Timex! I do wonder whats inside. I passed on a Luch that was lighter in tone. If you get a chance tell me what you think. Its so dark as to appear black, but it looks to be iridescent so there will be glints of purple. I just bought it,so in a few days from now when I have it in hand, Ill report back. A burgandy wine Luch is the closest I have to a purple watch. Best Regards.

I picked up this Timex at a junk shop.
The dial looks black in the pic but it's a deep, dark blue.

Your watch should have a number on the bottom of the dial that will let you know what kind of movement is inside. Of course when you have it in hand, all you have to do is open it up.

But congrats on your winning bid!

I've got more Converse sneakers than watches, but it is a close race.

You're welcome. I only found out how to do it myself a few weeks back - I'm not very computer savvy.

Here is the watch on my wrist with a picture that reflects its color when light hits it. Otherwise it does read more or less as black. After some reading about Timex history, etc. I found its date, 1979. Just vintage! And movement. # 24. My first pin lever. I did have a look at it, sorry no photo, as the back was easy to open. Its not a perfect time keeper. Id say it gains 4 minutes a day so far. I dont know if that will change with use or what. Thats fine for me. I would rather it be near perfection, but oh well... A minute here or there in a day is no big deal for me. Happy with the Classic design and color. Comments appreciated.
