    My Newest - A 1937 Bulova

    Hi Everyone;

    I thought that I would share one of my very few auction buys with everyone. Gambled on a bad seller pic and came out OK.

    This is a 1937 Bulova, braclet is orginal and matches the engraving on the bezel. I don't have the model identified yet. Anybody recognize it? It looks like a Senator but with engraving...

    The face is a little yellow, but the patina is very even

    The movement is a 10AE 17j adjusted and is ticking away...

    So this will be on my bench soon for a basic service and adding the second hand, plus either straightening or replacing the hour hand.

    Nice one! I love step-case watches, and I love those 10AE movements. They always run great after I service them. Not sure of the model name or if all watches ever had model names.

    Yes - really sweet. The engraving adds that little touch of class. Its great when a punt works out.

    Vintage Bulovas are among my favorite watches. Wear in good health after you get it serviced! It's a beauty.

    I originally bought it as a gift for my dad, but he insisted that I keep it.

    Hi Paliotime
    It looks like a version of the Bulova 17J Lone Eagle (see 2010 complete price guide to watches pg 713 1st col 3 down.

    Thanks Edge...It looked like a Lone Eagle I saw in a 1936 ad but the braclet was slightly different. I have been meaning to get a Shugarts guide so I will check it out. Thanks again.

    BTW: Thanks everyone for posting some of their Bulovas. Good to see the variety.
