    My recent finds

Found these beauties recently thought I woukd share...

First up, got this on the bay for about 15 bucks

    Waltham size 10 Colonial

Next up, nothing to special but I like the look of it. A 17 jewel Samba

Definately needs to be cleaned up. Keeps great time though. Paid 10 $ for that

And saving the best for last... a Waltham 645... the very special thing about this piece is the serial number... 22001515... if you know waltham well this models serial number started at 22001501.

Wow...Waltham sure made some lovely movements in that period. Interesting about the serial number - do you suppose the earliest production got any kind of special attention?

    Nice grabs. Congrats.

Any plans for the walthams? Always great when you find some low price watches/movements

I dont think so. I thought it was neat because it's the 14th of that particular model

The colonial is back and running, just need to find a size 10 case. The 645 is running but is missing parts from its clutch so it will only wind, so I habe to find a donor watch to find the missing pieces. Also the seconds hand was there. My tweezers decided to shoot it across the room about 5 minutes before I took the pics of it so im trying to find it.
