    Mystery watch

    Hi everybody I have a watch here bought on a car boot sale working great but cannot work out who is the makers mark on the dial any ideas anyone nothing on the movement

    That's a rather rare one (which unfortunately doesn't mean that it's particularly valuable!). The make is "Remo" which was a brand of Gerhard Most, located in Berlin (Wannsee). It is therefore a German watch so it is not surprising that the movement is also German. It is a Guba Cal. 1050 SC:

    Guba is the ebaucherie of Gustav Bauer of Pforzheim (last recorded activities from 1964). I'd say that the watch is from the early 1950s.

    I think what you have here is a German-made Remo from Gerhard Most of Berlin. The movement looks like a Guba 1050 as described here: bidfun-db Archiv: Uhrwerke: Guba 1050(SC)
