    Need Help with Vintage Movado!

We received this vintage Men's Movado Museum Watch from a customer to sell on our site. It was a hand-me-down from his father, and he does not wear watches and has no use for it. He had it appraised for insurance purposes at around $1700 but does not know the actual retail value of the watch.

Does anyone know anything about this particular watch or the Movado Museum Watches in general? We are trying to determine a fair price to sell the watch and can find very little information about this style watch.

Moved to Vintage for better response. We don't give valuations here sorry. It's impossible due to the fact that we can't assess condition of a watch from pictures.

eBay is full of them... They vary from this model but the Museum Watch has been the mainstay of their line for years.
"Forever is composed of nows." - Emily Dickinson

"The watch has to be surrounded by a history.
You need more than just a great design. You need to create an atmosphere around the product.
Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!
